Position Summary
Services and repairs BYD EVs to BYD standards, carries out pre-delivery inspection, and keeps job cards and warranty records accurate. Works safely around high-voltage systems under the guidance of the Diagnostic Lead.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs per BYD service procedures.
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles using the PDI checklist.
- Follow high-voltage safety rules and use correct protective equipment.
- Fill in job cards and keep warranty records accurate.
- Report defects, parts needs and unsafe conditions to the Diagnostic Lead and Service Manager.
- Keep the work bay, tools and equipment clean and organized.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma, or SSC/HSC in with technical training, in automobile or electrical trades.
Additional Qualifications
- 2+ years in automobile service
- Mechanical and electrical repair
- use of hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- reading service manuals and checklists
- high-voltage safety awareness
- neat job card documentation
- Teamwork and discipline.
