Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Hands-On Development

• Actively write, review, and maintain production-level code across ongoing projects using Python, JavaScript, and Spring Boot alongside the development team.
• Conduct structured code reviews, provide technical feedback, and enforce coding standards and best practices across Backend and Frontend teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers by sitting with them, pair-programming when needed, and helping resolve technical blockers on a daily basis.
• Estimate realistic project timelines and sprint delivery targets based on scope and historical team velocity.
• Monitor project progress, sprint status, bug lifecycle, and delivery risks using tools like Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or similar platforms.

 B. Performance Management (KPI Execution)

• Define, implement, and manage SMART Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for every role within the engineering and support teams.
• Monitor individual and team productivity metrics to continuously optimize workflow efficiency and delivery quality.

Migration & Support Coordination

• Directly track and mitigate risks during active system migrations: Laravel to Python (School Management) and Laravel to JavaScript/Spring Boot (VAT System).
• Coordinate with the Support Team to monitor post-deployment issues, customer feedback, and after-sales service operations for the School Management system.

Required Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering

Additional Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CSE), Software Engineering, IT, or relevant discipline from a reputed university.
• Professional certifications (PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master - CSM, Scrum Product Owner) will be given preference.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Development with at least 1–2 years in a Senior Engineer or Technical Team Lead role.
• Hands-on coding experience in web application development is mandatory; candidates who only managed projects without writing code will not be considered.
• Experience in ERP, VAT Software, School Management Software, or large-scale business applications will get preference.
• Prior experience managing Laravel, Python, JavaScript, or Spring Boot based projects is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools, particularly Claude Code, for project planning, task breakdown, technical migration oversight, and process automation will be a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good understanding of modern software technologies including Laravel, Python, JavaScript, APIs, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, etc.).
• Strong hands-on coding ability with clean code practices; experience in code review, mentoring, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to estimate project timelines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Capable of handling stakeholder communication and managing cross-functional teams efficiently.
• Understanding of CI/CD process and software deployment workflow will be an added advantage.
