Position Summary

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

The position will oversee the operation of Language Training Centers, identify operational risks, and support the Specialist and Senior Technical Trainer in ensuring quality teaching-learning and programme management. S/he will also coordinate administrative and logistical matters with relevant authorities and donors, and ensure proper management of IT devices in Language Labs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute English Language Training Centers plan and oversee logistics of centers and overall management.
  • Guide and supervise the FDMN/Host volunteer.
  • Assist Specialist and Senior Technical Trainer in language training center management.
  • Manage IT equipment of Language Lab
  • Liaison with local community and stakeholders to represent BRAC appropriately.
  • Sign and adhere to code of conduct.
  • Maintain deadline and develop different types of report
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of IT devices in language lab
  • Manage and distribute incentives for learners and volunteers
  • Identify the operational risk factors of the programme proactively and address those issues properly.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Required Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Public Health (MPH) in Social and Behavioral Sciences
Additional Qualifications

  • Training certificate in Digital Literacy and ICT in Education.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting (Windows, MS Office, Internet Browsers).
  • Understanding of adult education, digital literacy, and e-learning principles.
  • Familiarity with internet safety, digital ethics, and inclusive training practices.
  • Knowledge of Rohingya camp operations and humanitarian coordination structures is an advantage.

SKILLS:

  • Good proficiency in English.
  • Technical skills in managing IT labs and digital devices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic teaching or facilitation skills for digital literacy content.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare brief reports.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Technological adaptability and learner support orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Attention to detail and accountability in operational management.
  • Flexibility to travel across sites and respond to emergencies.


Education

  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Bachelor in Social Science/ Business Administration or any other relevant subject
  • Diploma in IT from any reputed public or private university.

Experience

  • At least 1 year
