Position Summary

Akij Textile Mills Ltd. is a sister concern of Akij INSAF one of the largest conglomerate in Bangladesh, founded in 1998 by Sk. Akij Uddin. The industry is fully export oriented and known for its various units, Spinning, Yarn Dying, Weaving & Fabric Dyeing and Finishing, more than 5,000 employees. Spinning unit consists of reputed brands of machineries like Reiter, Zinser, Schlaforst-Autocone, Autocore, Uster-Lab. Weaving unit is fully automated with state of the art machineries, like Picanol- Omni Plus 800, Airjet Looms with quick style change, Karl Mayer- High Performance Sizing and Sectional Warpers, Stauble Automatic Drawing- in System, CCI-Automatic Sampling Loom & Yarn Dying unit consists of high class machineries like SSM (Swiss) Soft Winding and Re-Winding machines, Gofront Stalem and Galvanim.

Job Responsibilities

Now, we are seeking a dynamic & energetic person to join us as “ Manager (Quality Control)”.

Lead and manage all quality control activities of the Spinning Division.
Monitor and ensure yarn quality as per buyer/customer requirements.
Supervise quality inspection processes from raw material to finished yarn.
Analyze USTER, CSP, CV%, Imperfection, Hairiness, Strength and other yarn quality parameters.
Ensure proper quality standards in Blow Room, Carding, Drawing, Simplex, Ring and Winding sections.
Conduct regular process audits and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and technical teams for continuous quality improvement.
Investigate customer complaints and prepare root cause analysis reports.
Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, testing reports and compliance records.
Ensure laboratory equipment calibration and testing accuracy.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.
Train and guide QC officers, lab technicians and operators regarding quality standards and best practices.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality performance reports for management review.

Required Educational Qualifications

Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Information and Communication Engineering (IT/ICT)

Additional Qualifications

Age At most 40 years
Minimum 10–15 years of practical experience in Spinning Quality Control.
At least 3–5 years in managerial role in a reputed spinning mill
Strong knowledge of yarn quality systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Sound knowledge of USTER statistics and yarn testing systems.
Leadership and team management capability.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Ability to work under pressure and achieve quality targets.

Education

Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Textile Engineering
Major in Yarn Manufacturing / Spinning preferred

Experience

10 to 15 years
