Position Summary

The Executive - HR will support the HR department in managing day-to-day HR operations at Far Oil and Gas. This role will involve assisting in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with local labor laws. The Executive HR will provide administrative support to the HR team, help maintain employee records, and contribute to the overall HR strategy to ensure a smooth and efficient HR process within the company.

Job Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting and interviewing to hiring and onboarding new employees.
  • Develop and maintain talent acquisition strategies, ensuring the company attracts top talent to meet its operational needs.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
  • Promote a healthy and respectful work environment by addressing employee issues and fostering a culture of open communication.

Performance Management:

  • Design, implement, and manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Provide guidance on performance reviews and create development plans for employees to enhance their skills.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Implement leadership development and succession planning programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees.
  • Administer benefits programs (insurance, leave management, etc.) and ensure compliance with labor laws.

Compliance and Legal:

  • Ensure the company is compliant with all relevant labor laws and regulations in Bangladesh.
  • Develop and maintain company policies in accordance with local laws and best practices.

HR Strategy and Reporting:

  • Partner with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Employee Engagement:

  • Develop programs to foster a positive organizational culture and high levels of employee engagement.
  • Implement initiatives to boost employee morale and productivity.

Health and Safety:

  • Oversee workplace health and safety programs in alignment with local laws and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of and comply with safety protocols.

Required Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management (HRM)
  • Honors/Equivalent in HRM
Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in HR or related field.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Prior experience in HR or related roles is preferred but not required.

Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Bangladesh labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.
