Position Summary
Meghna PVC Ltd. (MPVCL) and Tasnim Chemical Complex Ltd. (TCCL) are sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). These chemical units are engaged in the production of PVC/PET Resin, Caustic Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, and Liquid Chlorine. We are currently looking for highly motivated, honest, proactive and energetic individual for the position of Asst. Chemist / Chemist in our Chemical Plant. The position will be responsible for handling day-to-day operations and will report to the Department Head.
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per the sampling plan, preparing them for analysis with proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct chemical tests and sample analyses by operating laboratory equipment and instruments accurately, in order to generate precise and reliable data that supports production and quality decisions.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and pH meters, ensuring calibration and optimal functionality.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards by following established laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines, ensuring safe operations and compliance with industry requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Generate and maintain documentation related to sample analysis, including reports, certificates of analysis, and other relevant records.
- Contribute to improving safety performance by addressing physical safety concerns and fostering positive employee safety attitudes.
Required Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry
Additional Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of QC processes, raw material testing and product inspection.
- Good communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office.
Education
- Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry
Experience
- At most 4 years
