Job Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify new trends, Fabrics, Techniques and seeking fashionable, wearable & trendy design inspiration.
• Plan & Develop ranges, often based on a theme.
• Managing the design process from conception through to final styling.
• Ensure product are in agreement with business strategy.
• Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors & shapes.
• Understand design from a technical perspective. i.e Producing patterns and technical specification for designs.
• Ensure supervising the making up of sample garments.
• Should be able to create design with In-House fabrics.
• Ensure fore-planning of season/festival & create design accordingly that suits.
• Liaise closely with Sales, Merchandising & production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market & price points.
• Visit trade shows & manufacturers to source, select & buy fabrics, trims, fastenings & embellishments.
• Develop pattern into sample garments & supervise the creation of these, including fitting, detailing & adaptations.

Required Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design

Additional Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fashion Designing
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing

Experience

• 2 to 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Retail Store

Additional Requirements

• Age At least 25 years
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experienced in designing & handling Kid’s Category is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of fashion design, fabric types, and garment construction.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection deadlines.
• Knowledge of sustainable fashion.
