Position Summary
The Assistant Engineer - Electrical (Internal Audit) reviews and audits facility electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety codes, technical standards, and energy efficiency guidelines. This role involves inspecting electrical infrastructure, identifying operational risks or installation defects, and preparing technical audit reports to mitigate hazards and optimize power consumption.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of electrical systems and infrastructure across TBG’s different business units, sites and projects.
- Verify adherence to electrical codes, safety standards, and maintenance schedule.
- Assist in developing audit plans and technical checklists for engineering-focused audits.
- Review energy efficiency, equipment performance, and systems reliability.
- Analyse engineering documents, project plans, maintenance records, and operational data for accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate the contractors’ performances and quality of electrical works according to the technical standard and requirements mentioned in the contract.
- Identify any weakness in internal control, electrical deficiency, safety hazard or operational risk; make recommendations to rectify such issues.
- Prepare technical reports and support the development of audit findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and compliance teams to support corrective actions.
Required Educational Qualifications
- Graduation Equivalent in Any discipline
Additional Qualifications
- Age 25 to 32 years
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (e.g. BNBC, NFPA, IEC)
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Good report writing and analytical skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to read, interpret, and audit technical drawings and layouts
- Proficiency in MS Excel and standard reporting tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with technical teams.
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) students will get preference
Experience
- At most 2 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Amusement Park, Chemical Industries, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Sports Complex
