Position Summary

The Assistant Administrative Officer (Alumni, Career & Industry Relations) will support the university’s alumni engagement, career development, employer relations, and Industry Advisory Board (IAB) activities. The role involves coordinating alumni programs, career events, internships, employer partnerships, and IAB meetings while maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and providing administrative support. The position requires excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills to strengthen relationships between the university, alumni, students, employers, and industry partners.

Job Responsibilities

Alumni Support and Coordination

  • Maintain and regularly update the alumni database and communication records.
  • Coordinate alumni engagement programs, networking events, meetings, and other alumni activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication between faculty members and alumni.
  • Prepare periodic reports on alumni engagement, participation, and related activities.


Career Support and Employer Coordination

  • Organize career development programs, including seminars, workshops, career fairs, and placement support activities.
  • Coordinate with employers, recruiters, students, and relevant stakeholders regarding internship and employment opportunities.
  • Maintain records of internships, graduate placements, employer engagements, and recruitment activities.
  • Liaise with the university Career Development Office and other relevant departments to ensure effective career support services.


Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Support

  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and official communications with Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, presentation materials, supporting documents, and minutes of meetings.
  • Follow up on action items, recommendations, and implementation progress arising from IAB meetings.


Administrative and Reporting Support

  • Draft official correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other administrative documents.
  • Maintain both physical and digital records in an organized and confidential manner.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for faculty events, meetings, and coordination activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the department or university management.

Required Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Business Administration
Additional Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, English, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree will receive preference.


Experience Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in alumni relations, career services, administration, academic coordination, or a similar role.
  • Fresh graduates with excellent communication and organizational skills are also encouraged to apply.


Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Event planning and stakeholder management skills will be considered an advantage.
