Job Summary

We are looking to hire a diligent, hard-working individual who can work in merchandising department. The candidate should have strong communication contacts in garments and a relevant education background.

Job Description


Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate in the Product Development process to ensure that products meet customers' quality and budget requirements.
- Understand the customer needs and requirements, develop an effective sourcing strategy.
- In execution of sample development, fabric sourcing, costing and production follow up.
- Handle development & production follow up from sourcing, product development to production.
- Ensure all approvals are on time & follow customers required processes & standard.
- Maintain strong business relationships with vendors/internal department/overseas offices for product development and production.
- Accomplish merchandising cycle (File / Record keeping / Sampling / TNAs / QA file making / Production follow ups / Shipment booking)
- Trims, accessories, fabric sourcing (overseas and local).
- Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories.
- Negotiate price & timeline, prepare cost sheet and T&A.
- Communicate and prepare meeting with suppliers/buyers for customers.
- Liaising with offshore factories, build factory matrix, evaluate factory performance and maintain a partnership.
- Consolidate sample and production status from internal teams in organize sample and production status properly and communicate with customers.
- Distribute completed sample requests to the appropriate managers.
- Follow from order to shipment.
- Can be handle factory production and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Employment Status

Educational Requirements
- Masters or Bachelor degree in any discipline (1st Class or equivalent CGPA).
- Skills Required: Buyer Handling, Garments, On Time Shipment, Product Development

Experience Requirements
- At least 5 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):

Buying House, Garments, Group of Companies

Additional Requirements
- Have a strong sourcing capability.
- Have a strong crisis management capability.
- Candidate having working experience with prominent buyers in Europe, Asia and USA.
- Having strong knowledge of woven bottom denim/non denim products.
- Possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skill.
- The ability to deliver under pressure.
- Having sound knowledge in wash and special work finish necessary.
- Sound knowledge of sourcing suppliers necessary.
