Job Summary

Connell is a Specialty Chemicals and Ingredients Distribution Company based out of San Francisco, CA, USA. We are looking for a smart, committed, proactive team player to fill out the following position for overall supply chain activities

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
1. The role entails selling of specialty chemicals & additives and responsible to give first-hand technical support to various industry verticals including Plastic, Paint/ Coating, Adhesives, Ink, PU Foam etc.
2. The candidate will work as lead or part of Application & Sales Team and will be responsible for existing sales & new business developments thru identifying the potential customers & application.
3. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence.
4. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
5. Business development thru new project generation, keep track of ongoing projects, hunting of new business, providing technical assistance/ application knowledge to the product development team at manufacturer end , mapping new markets, research and gather industry requirements, updating customers with new product line, capabilities of various gap analysis.
6. The position will be liable for daily call report, monthly sales report, supplier report and any other reports as decided by management.
Additional Requirements:
1. Solid techno commercial sales experience, preferably in chemistry sales.
2. Candidate having experience in plastic industry will have added advantage specially working experience in master batch production/ plastic processing or sales.
3. 2-4 years of experience in specialty chemical sales preferably in Plastic/ Paint/Coating/ PU Foam/ Adhesives/ Ink etc.
4. Candidate must be comfortable and enthusiastic to do extensive travel (domestic and overseas) for business development and training.
5. Capability of taking extensive factory visits & aptitude to establish two-way communications with R&D scientist
6. Adding values and have skill set to explore the sales & development opportunities thru a clear, understandable & countable value addition to the customers
7. Excellent business communication & presentation skills, strong command in English, should be confident and a go getter approach is required.
